Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is looking forward to an exciting year for visitors. With new animal exhibits and plenty of activities for the entire family, Naples Zoo provides an adventure year-round.


2014 EVENTS

December 13–24: 12 Days of Wild Holiday Fun
It’s not a partridge in a pear tree or five golden rings, but for 12 days in December from the 13th all the way to Christmas Eve, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens will be delivering gifts to the animals. Zoo guests will watch big cats claw into beautifully wrapped presents while many other animals enjoy holiday-related delicacies.

March 7:  Save the Panther Day
Premiering ahead of the state’s official Save the Florida Panther Day to promote the official celebration on March 21, 2015, Naples Zoo is hosting its annual Save the Panther event in cooperation with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and other area conservation partners.

March 14:  ZOObilee: Feast with the Beasts
Join us for the wildest party of the year! You will enjoy delicious cuisine from 20 eclectic restaurants experience special encounters with some of our wild friends, and dance the night away with a live band. For those who prefer to lounge with a glass of wine and friends, relax in another portion of the gardens with the sultry sounds of a jazz quartet. Plus you'll have a chance to win an African safari! April 4:  Party for the Planet™ / AZA’s Annual Earth Day Event
The 2015 Party for the Planet hosted by the nation’s Association of Zoo and Aquarium’s accredited institutions promises to be one of the largest Earth Day celebrations on record! Millions of zoo and aquarium visitors across North America will party for the planet with family fun and a renewed commitment to wildlife conservation. This year Naples Zoo joins the party again by hosting a variety of conservation partners.

April 3-5: Wild Animals Hunt for Easter Eggs
The animals at Naples Zoo will rip into giant papier-mâché eggs stuffed with their favorite treats – raw meat, insects and fruit.


May 2: International Migratory Bird Day 
Come celebrate International Migratory Bird Day at Naples Zoo and see the rookery of migratory birds nesting around Alligator Bay. This annual celebration of the incredible journeys of migratory birds will be presented by three area National Wildlife Refuges. Learn more about the fascinating world of migratory birds as well as information on birding and great places to bird.

May 9: National Public Gardens Day
Celebrating the nation's public botanical gardens and recognizing garden founder Dr. Henry Nehrling who was born on this day in 1853.

May 10: Mother’s Day

May 15-18: Celebrating Armed Forces Day
In honor of those who serve our country and Armed Forces Day, Naples Zoo is offering free admission to all active and prior service military personnel. Military service members receive free admission at the Zoo’s ticket box by presenting military identification or a veteran's organization member card and matching name photo ID. Plus, the service member's spouse and children in the party receive $2 off regular Zoo admission during the weekend.

June 21: Father’s Day at Naples Zoo
Want to get rid of those half-empty bottles of cheap aftershave from previous Father’s Days? Dads can trade those for free Zoo admission by bringing the bottle to the Zoo on Father’s Day.

Why does the Zoo want aftershave? For the animals, of course. This annual call for cologne provides new scents for the animals to enjoy all year. Dads and their families will be able to watch the animals’ reactions to these aftershaves as the scents are used throughout the day for animal enrichment. If Dad doesn’t have aftershave to donate, some of Mom’s perfume will work, too. Otherwise, dads can take advantage of an online offer for free admission with child ticket purchase in place of cologne.

July 3-6: Independence Day Weekend

July 27: International Tiger Day
Celebrate the planet's largest cats on this special day.

August 1-31: Emergency Workers Free
To show appreciation for the police, paramedics, TSA, sheriffs, and firefighters who help keep everyone safe, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is offering FREE admission to emergency workers from August 1 – 31, 2014 with proof of workplace identification. Other adult and child guests in their party can also purchase tickets for $2 off regular Zoo admission throughout the month of August as well.

August 8: World Lion Day
Celebrate the king of beasts on this special day.

September 4-7: Labor Day Weekend

October 17: Boo at the Zoo
Have a spooktacularly good time celebrating Halloween during Boo at the Zoo at Naples Zoo. Kids can trick or treat throughout the Zoo, join in a fun costume contest, and watch animals have a good time “carving” pumpkins with tooth and claw.

November 7-11: Veteran’s Day Weekend

November 14: Elephant Fest
Once again, Naples Zoo is hosting the Alzheimer's Support Network's annual fundraising event. Tickets and more information are available through the this local organization. No live elephants are at this event.

November 26:  Zoo closed for Thanksgiving
