Blood Donors Receive a Free Ticket to the Caribbean Gardens when they give at the Community Blood Center's Blood Mobile at the Zoo on April 29th.

Caribbean Gardens: the Zoo in Naples is hosting a blood drive for The Community Blood Center on Saturday, April 29th, 2000 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. To encourage blood donation, the Caribbean Gardens is giving away one free zoo admission to each person who donates blood that day at the blood mobile. The ticket may be used that day or on a future visit. It's a great opportunity to help save a life, then see a world of wildlife.

Donating blood is safe and simple, and the process to get started takes no more than 40 minutes. The first step is to register as a donor, which involves an interview and series of medical and personal questions. The actual donation takes about seven minutes. After giving blood, the donor is served refreshments while being monitored. Blood donors are required to drink plenty of fluids and eat prior to donating. And drinking fluids after is important, especially if donors plan to stay and tour the Caribbean Gardens. Caribbean Gardens: the ZOO in Naples is a 52-acre botanical and zoological garden located in the heart of Naples at 1590 Goodlette-Frank Road. The zoo ticket box is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the zoo grounds close at 5:30. Admission includes all presentations and activities including the Primate Expedition Cruise.
